MEM is an independent academic program that belongs to both the School of Engineering and the School of Business. The students majoring in MEM graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree conferred by both the School of Engineering and the School of Business.

Career Fairs

Career fairs are a forum to meet the employers who are looking to hire graduating seniors as full time employees and undergraduates for internships and co-op opportunities.

As students who will earn a degree conferred by the School of Engineering and the School of Business, we encourage all MEM students to attend both the Engineering Only career fairs hosted four times a year by the School of Engineering (generally twice in the fall and twice in the spring) and the All Majors fairs hosted by the Center for Career Development (CCD).

This fall, there are four career fairs being held at UConn’s Storrs campus that MEM students can attend:

  • The Center for Career Development All University Career Fair will be held on September 19th and 20th from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm in the Student Union Third Floor.
  • The Center for Career Development STEM Career Fair will be held on September 26th and 27th from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm in the Student Union Third Floor. For more information on the Center for Career Development Career Fairs, visit the Career for Development Office Career Fair page.
  • The Undergraduate Business Career Expo will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm in the Student Union Ballroom. For more information on the Career Expo, visit the School of Business Career Development Office page.
  • The School of Engineering Career Fair will be held on Monday, October 23, 2017 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm in South Rome Commons Ballroom on UConn’s Storrs campus. For more information on the career fair, visit the School of Engineering Career Fair page.

Make sure your resume is up to date and make an appointment with either the School of Engineering Career Consultant, John Bau, at john.bau@uconn.edu / 860.486.6666 or a School of Business Career Counselor at https://ucdo.setmore.com/.  The Center for Career Development Office is also offering two Resume Labs to help students get their resumes updated before the career fairs, which will be held on September 12 and October 17. Sign up by visiting the Center for Career Development Office page.
